At A Royal Touch we are proud to provide Pet Grooming and Doggy Daycare in Calgary.
Our MissionOur grooming services are provided by two groomers with a 20-year combined history of working in the grooming community. We have a high emphasis on quality styling and a no-compromise pets' first attitude which our clients find refreshing.
Our styling products are top-of-the line and our prep team is fully trained to know exactly which specialty shampoo to use on each pet based upon hair type or skin care concerns. ALL pets groomed at A Royal Touch are completely hand dried. This technique, although time consuming, is the safest method for getting your pet's hair dry with no risk of causing heat stroke to your pet. This also provides our prep team an invaluable opportunity to closely examine your pet's hair and skin and identify any concerns.
Important Notice Please Read:PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU EMAIL We are happy to announce appointment availability for a limited number of new clients:
You get your dog groomed every two months or less. Your dog is not aggressive. Your dog is in good health. You don't mind booking a year's appointments at a time and are committed to the best in coat care for your pet! read: don't waste our time if you have a bi-annual or annual matted mean dog needing a strip! and:
We are not trying to be rude, but we are too busy to train new dogs AND thier owners!
Many salons in Calgary are closing due to extreme increases in operating costs (mainly real estate values pushing leasing rates to unsustainable cost). As a result grooming appointments are high in demand at the remaining salons. We are currently booking a minimum of two to three weeks in advance. If you MUST have a Saturday appointment, book for the whole year to avoid disappointment. We will also not book dogs that are groomed only once a year, even if you have been to our salon before. This will allow us to fit in more of our regular clientele whom have been our beloved fur-babies for years. In return, we request that all our regular clientele book well in advance. The bulk of our clientele book a years' worth of appointments at a time. This will ensure you can always get in to see us for grooming and you won't have to wait! We can book you in advance for your convenience all the way up to January 1, 2010.
Company ProfileA Royal Touch has been grooming on Edmonton Trail since the 1980's. Current Ownership has been since October 1, 1995. It is our mission to improve the relations between pet owners and groomers through communication, honesty, and a shared mutual interest in providing the best possible care for your pet. We both give and receive respect from our regular clientele. Patronizing our staff is not tolerated. We are professionally trained experts in grooming, handling and behavioural training techniques. We are University Degree holders, retired military, musicians, artists and chefs. Together we share a rich tapestry of life experiences which enrich us as well rounded professionals with truly unique skill sets. At our salon we comment regularly, "The customer is always right!" And the customer, never forget, is your dog, not you. We will absolutely put the best interests of your pet first, even if you don't. View our Salon Policies page for more information. Yes, we annoy clients sometimes. We are, however, always truthful and sometimes the truth hurts. If there is a problem with your pet, we will tell you exactly what it is and what to do about it. Will we use pretty words? Not always, but sometimes if we make it sound pretty, you the pet owner don't take it seriously and the animal suffers. The simple truth is this is not a licensed industry. You get what you pay for, and if you don't do your homework while looking for a groomer, your dog may pay the price. All groomers are NOT created equal! With this in mind, I invite you to read this site and glean from it any information that may help you on your quest for the groomer that makes your dog (and possibly you) happy. Remember this: the best dog people are not always the best people people.
