CAT GROOMING
Our salon owner Jeanette Embree is pleased to offer cat grooming by appointment.
Can my cat be professionally groomed at a salon?
Take the temperament test.
- Does your cat easily startle?
- Does he lash out with his claws?
- Does he bite?
- Is he uncomfortable around other cats and dogs?
- Does he react poorly when others (strangers) handle him?
- Take a used electric toothbrush. Hold your cat, turn it on and rub it on your cat.
Does he struggle and lash out?
If you have answered yes to any of the above, your cat cannot be groomed
in a salon setting and you will have to have your veterinarian shave him.

A word from our cat groomer:
At A Royal Touch we are not equipped to forcibly restrain animals for the purposes of grooming. Additionally we are not qualified to sedate pets in our care. Cats can cause grave injury which can put a groomer out of work for a very long time. Complications from cat attack can inlude bites, scratches, stitches, scarring and bone infections. We carefully screen all potential new cat clients and respectfully resquest full disclosure at the time of appointment booking about your cats'temperament. At this time we are not able to groom agressive or temperamental cats. Your cat groomer reserves the right to end a grooming session at anytime where injury to groomer or cat may result if continued. If the hair cut cannot be completed where
the cat cannot be consoled or calmed, we will refer you to a veterinarian for further care and you will be billed for the full haircut.
Thank you for your respect in this regard.
Jeanette.
